Korčula Go

If you’re looking for a peaceful beach surrounded by nature, Rasohatica is one of Korčula’s most rewarding hidden spots. Just don’t forget your snorkeling mask and a good book.

Tucked away on the southern coast of Korčula, Rasohatica Beach is one of those places that feels wonderfully removed from the crowds. Surrounded by rugged hills, crystal-clear water, and a handful of holiday homes, it’s the kind of beach where time slows down and the stresses of everyday life seem far away.

The day begins with calm seas and the gentle soundtrack of cicadas. Early morning is the perfect time for a swim, when the bay is at its most peaceful and the Adriatic sparkles in shades of turquoise and blue. The water is exceptionally clear, making it ideal for snorkeling along the rocky edges of the cove, where small fish dart between the stones below.

One of Rasohatica’s greatest charms is its simplicity. There are no bustling beach bars or rows of sun loungers—just nature, sea, and sky. Visitors arrive with a cooler, a good book, and everything they need for a leisurely day by the water.

As the sun climbs higher, the sheltered bay reveals its full beauty. Whether floating in the warm sea, relaxing in the shade, or simply taking in the views, it’s easy to understand why so many visitors fall in love with this hidden corner of Korčula.

The afternoon drifts by at an unhurried pace. Families enjoy the shallow waters near the shore, swimmers venture farther into the bay, and the occasional boat glides quietly across the horizon. The atmosphere remains calm and uncrowded, even during the height of summer.

By late afternoon, as the light softens and the sea takes on a golden glow, Rasohatica becomes even more magical. It’s the perfect time for one last swim before packing up and heading back, carrying with you the feeling of a day well spent.

For those seeking a quieter side of Korčula, away from the island’s busier beaches and tourist hotspots, Rasohatica offers exactly what a summer day should be: simple, beautiful, and unforgettable.

📍 How to get there

Rasohatica Beach is located on the southern coast of Korčula, about a 15-minute drive from Lumbarda and around 20 minutes from Korčula Town. The final stretch of road is narrow, so drive carefully, especially during the summer months. if you are without a car, local taxis can take you there.

🚗 Parking

Limited parking is available near the beach. Arriving earlier in the day will give you the best chance of finding a spot.

The beach is mostly pebbles and rocks, so water shoes can make entering and exiting the sea more comfortable.

🤿 Bring snorkeling gear
The crystal-clear water and rocky shoreline make Rasohatica an excellent spot for snorkeling.

☀️ Pack sun protection
Shade is limited, especially during the middle of the day. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and perhaps a beach umbrella if you’re planning to stay for several hours.

💧 Bring plenty of water and snacks
There are no beach bars, restaurants, or shops directly on the beach, so it’s best to come prepared.

🗑️ Take your rubbish with you
Help keep this beautiful bay pristine by leaving no trace behind.

📸 Visit in the morning or late afternoon
These are the best times for photography, when the light brings out the incredible turquoise colors of the water and the beach is at its most peaceful.

🌊 Ideal for a relaxing beach day
Rasohatica is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, and enjoying a quieter side of Korčula away from the busier beaches.
