Korčula Go

If you’re looking for an authentic, satisfying dinner experience in the heart of Korčula, Hajduk Restaurant should definitely be on your radar. Located just a short walk from the old town, this cozy, welcoming spot delivers hearty Croatian classics with a touch of elegance—and it quickly became one of our favorite evening meals on the island.

Starters

We kicked off the evening with two seafood-based starters: a refreshing octopus salad and a smooth, flavorful fish pate. The salad was perfectly balanced, with tender chunks of octopus, a hint of citrus, and just the right amount of olive oil. The pate came with toasted bread and a drizzle of olive oil—simple but packed with flavor.

Main Dishes

For the main course, we went all in with a generous spread that showcased both land and sea. The juicy beefsteak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, rich and buttery, and complemented by a deep red wine sauce. Alongside it, the rumpsteak offered a slightly leaner cut, but with just as much flavor—especially when paired with the seasonal vegetables on the side.

From the grill, the scampi stood out with their natural sweetness and a touch of smokiness, tasting as fresh as if they’d come straight from the Adriatic that morning. But the true highlight of the evening was the Pašticada, a traditional Dalmatian dish made from slow-cooked beef simmered in a sauce of red wine, prunes, and warming spices. Served with  homemade pasta, it was a rich, comforting centerpiece that stole the show.

Dessert

To finish the meal, we shared two desserts that were as indulgent as they were satisfying. The tiramisu, light and creamy, was given a summery twist with the addition of fresh strawberries, which added a burst of sweetness and freshness to the classic Italian favorite. The tres leches cake, on the other hand, was rich and moist—soaked in a trio of milks that made each bite melt in the mouth without feeling too heavy. Together, they offered a perfectly balanced sweet ending to an already memorable dinner.

Hajduk combines traditional Dalmatian cooking with a casual, homey atmosphere. The service was warm and attentive, and the menu offers something for every kind of appetite—whether you’re craving seafood, grilled meat, or slow-cooked comfort food.
